About

Turning organic material into art.

Ariana Blum is a designer and maker who transforms raw, organic materials into fine art. Over more than two decades she has invented and refined the techniques that turn mica, straw, eggshell and other natural materials into one-of-a-kind veneers — surfaces that bring warmth, texture and craft to the world's most exacting interiors.

A material inventor

She invents the material, not just the piece

Ariana's gift is invention. Where others see straw or eggshell, she sees a surface waiting to be made. She develops new veneers, finishes and effects — several patent-pending — each created and tested by hand in her New Jersey studio until it's ready for a wall, a panel, or a bespoke piece.

Making designers' visions real

Ariana works hand-in-hand with the world's leading designers and architects — translating a sketch, a mood or a material challenge into something buildable and beautiful. And for studios that arrive with the design already drawn, she is a trusted pair of hands — producing precisely to spec, on schedule.
